Wedding Ring Bearer Box step-by-step instructions

Think outside the box when it comes to your wedding ring bearer, with this easy to make "wedding ring box".
Traditionally a wedding ring bearer carries a ring pillow, but this wedding ring box will add a unique modern twist to your wedding ceremony and can easily be made in one afternoon.
This wedding craft is easy, inexpensive and can be made to fit any wedding theme or color. Embelish it with silk flowers, sea shells or any other items that will reflect your wedding's style or theme.
Craft Supply List:
1 Wooden craft box (square or round), 1-2 Silk flowers with leaves, (or other embelishments of your choice), 1 Bottle of craft paint, 1 Felt Square, 1 Piece of florist foam, 1 Tassle
Tools needed to assemble Wedding Bearer Box:
Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks, Spray Adhesive, Scissors, Sponge Paint Brushes, Pencil, 1 piece of paper
Instuctions:
1. Begin by painting the bottom half of the wooden box and allow to dry. Then continue painting the rest of the box and let dry. The box may require a second coat of paint, depending on the color and type of paint you use. Leave the wooden box open while drying, so it will not dry the lid shut. Be sure to let the box dry completely before gluing on any embelishments.
2. Remove the petals of the silk flower from it's stem.

3. Place the wooden box on top of the piece of paper and draw a circle using the box as a guide. Cut out the paper circle template. Draw another circle approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch inside the edge. This paper circle is the template you will use to cut the felt that will line the inside of your ring box. Once you are sure that your paper template is the correct size, cut out the circle out of the felt. (See picture below)
4. Depending of the size of florists foam you have purchased you may need to cut it to fit into the base of the box. (See picture below)

5. Use spray adhesive on the (inside) bottom of the wooden box and foam and glue the foam to the inside (bottom) your wooden box.
6. Use more spray adhesive on the felt circle and place the felt on top of the foam to line the bottom of your box. Press firmly to adheare properly.

7. Using a glue gun, add a small drop of glue onto the lid of the wooden box to add the tassle. Be sure to center the tassle at the front of the wooden box. The tassel will serve as a decoration and will also be used to open the box.
8. Continue using the glue gun to add the silk flowers (or your choice of embelishments). Begin with the silk leaves, continue adding smaller silk flowers and end with the largest flower, as shown below.
10. Lastly, use a sharp knife to cut two slits in the foam and felt base, in order to slip the wedding bands into the box securely.

I hope that this simple wedding ring bearer box crafting project has inspired you to add special touches to your wedding that will reflect your personality and style to your special day!
