Simple Fall Wedding Decorations

Fall wedding decorations are inspired by seasonal colors and holiday traditions.
Fall offers a multitude of ideas to help you decorate your wedding venue and provides a cool and crisp season to enjoy your wedding day.
A fall wedding should not just be limited to autumn leaves, but an autumn leaf design can be used as a theme or graphic design to include on your wedding invitations, napkins, etc.

Using the beautiful fall colors such as burnt sienna, red, orange, mustard yellow and browns are perfect wedding colors to carry the fall wedding theme throughout your wedding planning.
Create a beautiful fall wedding arch by placing two tall (aprox. 8 ft.) pillars 5 ft. apart. Tie simple tree branches together to a length that can be placed on top of both pillars to create the top of the arch and anchored securely. Fall flower, leaves or lights can be added to enhance the look.

Have your flower girl carry a simple brown basket trimmed with colored ribbon and filled with fall leaves. Sprinkling fall leaves down the aisle instead of flower petals brings the autumn warmth indoors and help give your fall wedding theme continuity.

Have your ring bearer carry your wedding rings in a birds nest intead of the traditional ring pillow.
Traditional fall decor includes cornucopias, acorns and which are readily found in craft stores during each fall season. But remember not to add too many of these decorations or you will create a "Thanksgiving Dinner" look instead of the perfect "fall wedding look".
If you are planning a fall wedding closer to Halloween, you may choose to include pumpkins with your fall wedding decorations. Pumpkins can be added to floral arrangements, or carved with the bride and groom's names, initials and wedding date, for a whimsical guest book table decoration.
Place miniature pumpkins inside tall glass cylinders, use long strands of raffia or silk fall leaves to add interest. Fill each cylinder with water and top with flowers. To add height to each fall wedding centerpiece, insert long delicate branches to each.
For your fall wedding, be sure to include a fall menu. Select a spice or carrot cake flavored wedding cake.

Decorate your wedding cake with fall leaves, miniature birds' nests, twigs, cinnamon sticks or handmade marzipan pumpkins.
Add a desert table with some favorite fall deserts such as pumpkin and apple pies. Add to the fall traditions by serving apple cider with cinnamon sticks or other cozy warm beverages.
Include candles into your fall wedding decorations. If your budget does not allow you to buy Autumn-colored candles, you can place tea lights or white candles into votives and tie each with ribbons in harvest colors to add to your cozy fall wedding decorations. Remember, that it's best to use unscented candles at indoor events.
Another inexpensive fall wedding idea is to add gourds to your wedding decorations.
Hay bales are a great way to add unique seating to an outdoor wedding ceremony location or can be used to decorate the entrance of your reception hall. Simply add ribbon to make them a bit more elegant. Do not place candles anywhere near hay bales.
